SyncAuction uses a shared inventory model. The same Heritage Auctions products can be listed on multiple stores (WooCommerce, Shopify, BigCommerce) simultaneously. When an item sells on any store, it's automatically unpublished from all other connected stores to prevent overselling.

What happens when a product sells out on Heritage Auctions?

When a product's quantity reaches zero on Heritage Auctions, SyncAuction automatically unpublishes it from all your connected stores during the next sync cycle (frequency depends on your plan). The product is marked as out-of-stock in your dashboard with a timestamp.

Can products be automatically republished if stock returns?

Yes! If a product becomes available again on Heritage Auctions (e.g., a canceled order returns to inventory or new stock is added), SyncAuction can automatically republish it to your connected stores based on your auto-republish settings. You can enable or disable this per-product or globally.

How do you prevent overselling with shared inventory?

SyncAuction uses atomic locking and FIFO (First In, First Out) order processing via Redis queues. When simultaneous orders occur across stores, the first order wins and is processed successfully. Subsequent orders for the same unavailable item are flagged for manual review with refund guidance.

Can I get alerts when stock is running low?

Yes, you can configure low stock alerts to be notified when products are selling quickly or running low. Set custom thresholds per product or category. Alerts are sent via email, dashboard notifications, Slack webhooks, or Discord webhooks based on your notification preferences.

What happens if the same item sells on two stores at the exact same time?

SyncAuction's atomic locking ensures the first order received wins. The second order is held and flagged for your review. You'll be notified immediately with options to process it if additional inventory becomes available, or provide a refund with a customizable apology message.
